Join Antien Knaap, Rose-Marie and Eijk van Otterloo Curator of Paintings, Art of Europe, and Rhona MacBeth, Rose-Marie and Eijk van Otterloo Director of Conservation and Scientific Research, and head of Paintings Conservation, to learn about the research discoveries and conservation efforts behind “Rachel Ruysch: Artist, Naturalist, and Pioneer.” Explore the flowers, insects, and animals Ruysch depicted with almost scientific accuracy in her exquisitely composed still lifes, and gain insights into the artist’s remarkable painting technique.

Co-organized by the Conservation and Collections and Swan Society Curators Circles.
