Drawn exclusively from the MFA’s collection, “Framing Nature: Gardens and Imagination” includes both beloved favorites and unseen masterworks, centering the garden as a fertile place for human creativity and imaginative possibility. The exhibition explores how humans relate to the natural world, shape garden spaces through cultivation, care, and labor, and express this universal human work through art.
Celebrate “Framing Nature: Gardens and Imagination” during a festive evening of refreshments and conversation with fellow members. Hear from and explore the exhibition with Courtney Harris, associate curator, Decorative Arts and Sculpture, Art of Europe, and Karen Haas, Lane Senior Curator of Photographs.
